My Philosophy

Welcome to My Philosophy

Enjoy!

Introduction

During this special moment, I would like you to deeply validate yourself for taking command of your destiny, the accomplishment of moving yourself, a step closer, towards to a more fulfilling future.

It is a unique privilege of mine to introduce a Philosophy of Personal Excellence. The highest objectives of the following articles regards the Pursuit of Truth, the Development of Character, and the Cultivation of our Capacities.

To better understand the nature of this philosophy, I chose a meaningful metaphor that compares our life with that of a bird.

For a bird to break out of its egg,
it must be willing destroy the world it knows.
We are the bird and the egg represents our world.

When we fight to break out of our old world, to discover a greater Truth, we undergo a psychological rebirth. This rebirth mirrors the transformation of a caterpillar into a beautiful butterfly. To soar like a bird, we must develop the courage to destroy our old world and lift our life on the Wings of Truth.

This philosophy is not a mere collection of thoughts, it is a Way of Life, a spiritual awakening for the Seeker of Truth. This brings my attention to a very important question, what does it mean to have a spiritual awakening? Spirituality, in this sense is our relationship with the universe. This definition is not necessarily religious, rather, it speaks to the cosmic roots of our connection with ourselves. Understanding our place in the universe allows us to develop a loving relationship with ourselves.

The Three Principles of Power

The following ideas have been carefully selected to Awaken Supreme Personal Power.

I have found the following Principles to be timeless and unconquerable in the Pursuit of ascending the Throne of Personal Power. Consistently, these principles have proved themselves to be a beacon of light in every department of life, whether it be spiritual, social, mental, intellectual, physical, and emotional. Ralph Waldo Emmerson had it right when he stated, "Nothing can bring you peace but the Triumph of Principles."

1) Accept Truth from which ever source it comes.

2) Seek your own Version of Truth.

3) Commit yourself to constantly expand your own Horizon of Self-Knowledge.

Seeking to build a life on these Pillars of Truth attracts a life of increasing personal value, self-awareness, creativity, self-confidence, and a pro-survival approach towards life-affirming attitudes, actions, ideas, people, and experiences.

1) Accept Truth from which ever source it comes.

Truth is a resource that can come from anywhere. A major stumbling block that certain people face in their lives is when they believe Truth can only come from a single source. Unfortunately, adopting this mindset and belief can be extremely limiting. To crystalize the fact that truth can come from multiple angles and viewpoints, let’s explore a good example, through the lens of an Indian story, called “The Blind Men and The Elephant.”

Once upon a time, there lived six blind men in a village. One day the villagers told them, "Hey, there is an elephant in the village today."

They had no idea what an elephant is. They decided, "Even though we would not be able to see it, let us go and feel it anyway." All of them went where the elephant was. Every one of them touched the elephant.

"Hey, the elephant is a pillar," said the first man who touched his leg.

"Oh, no! it is like a rope," said the second man who touched the tail.

"Oh, no! it is like a thick branch of a tree," said the third man who touched the trunk of the elephant.

"It is like a big hand fan" said the fourth man who touched the ear of the elephant.

"It is like a huge wall," said the fifth man who touched the belly of the elephant.

"It is like a solid pipe," Said the sixth man who touched the tusk of the elephant.

They began to argue about the elephant and every one of them insisted that he was right. It looked like they were getting agitated. A wise man was passing by and saw their disagreement. He stopped and asked them, "What is the matter?" They said, "We cannot agree to what the elephant is like." Each one of them stated what he thought the elephant was like. The wise man calmly explained to them, "All of you are right. The reason each of you is telling it differently is because each one of you touched a different part of the elephant. So, actually the elephant has all those features that you all said."

This story is significant in the context of the 1st principle for the simple fact that we all have our own Understanding of Truth.

As we piece together the puzzle of our own version of reality by drawing our own conclusions about our experiences, that is the point at which we truly begin to make sense of ourselves and the world around us.

Each person must come to their own determinations about the nature of their reality. Sometimes that is the hardest part, but most of the time that part is also the most rewarding and liberating.

Each blind man experienced a different angle of truth, however; it was only through the network of all their perceptions that they were able to successfully arrive at a socially-coordinated understanding of a greater collective truth.

The other important feature of this thought-provoking metaphor shows the importance of being open to other people’s viewpoints, especially when they seem to be radically different from our own. As Voltaire said, “I don't agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.”

When someone does not agree with your viewpoint that does not mean you have to accept theirs, but you should be open to their evaluation. Sometimes this means reserving your judgment, thinking about your evaluation internally, but not communicating it externally.

The important thing is that we rigorously examine the truths stored in the house of our minds to ensure the accuracy of our personal beliefs. For example, when inputting a destination into a GPS, we intrinsically trust it will take us where we want to go. This is the same thing as our beliefs, our beliefs must be ensured for accuracy, because if they are untrue they will not take us where we want to go. Similarly, a GPS works best when the maps are most up to date.

Every time we encounter a new experience, it adds new data to our kaleidoscope of perceptions. Similar to running a business, each new statistic inputted into the system becomes a new piece of information that adds value to the data-analysis phase, which will, in effect, yield a different output. By adding new information to our decision making process, we can select the best decisions that allow us to navigate life most effectively.

A wise soul once told me, "It's not the medium, it's the message." In the context of the First principle of the Elephant and The Blind Men example, it is clear to see how they each perceived their own version of truth. What was essential about each of their interpretations was the fact that they each had a Truth that came to light, although it varied in its nature from individual to individual.

What stood out to each of them was not the way in which they arrived at their own conclusion, via their sensory input, but ultimately the perception and conclusion of what that perception meant to them individually. Sometimes it is not necessarily about what beliefs we hold, but how we interpret those beliefs. For example, in Religion, the scripture prescribes a set of stories and beliefs, but how those stories and beliefs are understood will ultimately depend on the individual and their experiences.

A crucial element, in the context of Truth-Seeking, is to find out the full meaning of our beliefs and the effect that they have on our waking lives.

Think about it this way, when building a brick house, the bricks closest to the ground are crucial to the structural stability of the entire house, because they are foundational. This analogy is similar to our most valued beliefs, as our beliefs comprise the foundation of our attitudes and thoughts about the nature of our reality.

In a strong sense, our beliefs are like a magnet that attract or reject reality, think back to the video “The Stable Datum.” The more your beliefs align with your internal engine of truth, the better state of reality you will attract into your life.

In other words, two people can have a similar view of a given Truth about themselves, but the way in which they interpret the meaning of that truth can be entirely different.

One of the central aspects in acquiring wisdom lies in the strength of our desire to adopt the ideas of greatest value, those that align with the core of who we are.

Here is another concrete example to clarify the air of the medium versus message concept.

If someone you dislike gives you useful advice, but you ignore it, you may miss out on a golden opportunity for self-enhancement.

Can you think of an example in your life where someone gave you advice, but you did not take it, and it ended up badly?

Similarly, can you think of an example in your life where someone gave you good advice and you applied it?

One of the big lessons here is, if the words improve you over time, it might be a wise decision to trust them.

Although there will be people who try to ensnare you in a mirror house of illusions and emotional traps, the important thing is to learn how to trust your instincts, as an animal in the wild uses its internal radar to navigate itself through the jungle.

Through my philosophy, my desire is to help you sharpen your pro-survival instincts.

2) Seek your own Version of Truth.

Our level of success is proportionate to our level of wisdom. When our desire to understand ourselves increases, typically, a higher order of success is welcomed into our lives. Personal Truth and Self-Understanding is the World of Awareness that comes to us when our Knowledge of our own Truth begins to relate to everything we know about ourselves.

Truth is that which ultimately connects to the core of who we are, which helps us understand every inch of our experiences.

Specifically, whenever you acquire a new piece of data, there is a special way to make that newly acquired information yours, the goal of which is to completely personalize it and see how it relates to your life.

For example, when I share a concept with you, that is when I will use an open-ended question that bridges my concept into your field of awareness. Communication is how I relate my knowledge to you. Communication is also the bridge of how to create meaningful relationships with people.

When I use an example, I try to use ones that you will find familiar, those that relate to your reality. Think of the word “relationships” beginning with the prefix “relate”.

Remember when I asked you if you can think of an example in your life where someone gave you good advice and you applied it? That question bridged a connection between my concept and your experiences.

In other words, my knowledge reached into the network of your experiences. Like the neurology of our brains, dendrites (connection makers between brain cells) will branch out to other dendrites to establish a connection.

This is the process of learning and connecting with people. It also the way the brain learns new information. My approach to writing and helping you gain clarity is one that ultimately harnesses the way the human mind works on a scientific level.

As you can see in the figure below, I am giving you knowledge, as it is inputted into the brain cells of your mind, which then seek out similar concepts or brain cells which ultimately allow me to create a connection with you.

The reason I have gone into depth to teach you about how I am connecting my knowledge and wisdom with you is because I want you to learn the methods I actively use to communicate with you. I want my approach towards helping you improve your life in every possible way to be transparent.

The biggest goal of personal development is to make use of the truth we know about ourselves by applying it to every aspect of our lives. Remember, truth is only as powerful as the person who applies it. In other words, a tool in the garage is only valuable as its usage.

Although we each will arrive at our own understanding or viewpoint about a certain truth, for example with the Blind Men, the important thing is that we continue to seek out all the truth we can find to draw our own conclusions.

For example, a judge in a courtroom, only decides the ruling of a particular case when he has been presented with all of the evidence. This is the same of our own lives, I have found that the best way to make decisions is to first acquire as much knowledge and information as possible. Remember, the best decision is the one that satisfies the greatest number of personal dynamics. The gavel of truth and justice awaits a well-balanced decision making process.

My aim is to impart soul-lifting concepts to you, but ultimately you must see how these concepts and psychological tools fit into the structure of your life.

The more you are able to personalize the information I share with you, the more you will be able to make it yours and apply it in your daily life. This is why I recommend digesting the knowledge on this website slowly, while chewing it thoroughly, so you can connect yourself to the emotional and intellecual substance of it. Typically there are two routes towards the path of knowledge. The first one is knowledge acquired by memorization, which is information you parrot to others, but you do not actually understand it on a deep level.

And secondly, there is the type of knowledge that you acquire by thoroughly digesting what you learned, where you have the ability to apply it to your everyday life. For example, when I convey a concept, I will often use a common day analogy to relate it to you. This is a direct reflection of how well I understand the concept. Although the second path of knowledge requires extra effort, it has the added benefit of staying with you forever.

Remember, as you begin to seek truth, the truth will bring you into a greater state of positivity. Although the effects may not be immediate, they will eventually show through the clouds of your emotion like how the sun scatters the clouds.

Truth is the only way to heal your wounds and make your life great.

Personally, I have learned these concepts and ideas over the last four years. It took a great deal of focus, but it was definitely worth every ounce of effort.

3) Increase your Knowledge of Truth about Yourself

One of my favorite quotes of all time is by Aristotle, "Knowing yourself is the beginning of wisdom." Understanding who we are connects us with the spirit of our own nature, which is one of the ultimate aspirations of my teachings, to open the door towards learning about yourself.

When we act out of a spirit of our own truths, we start the journey of becoming our authentic-selves. This is the application phase of connecting our knowledge with our experience of actually living in our newly discovered truth, making it an intimate part of our daily life, philosophy, and Personally Decided-Direction.

Becoming who we are is a matter of divorcing ourselves from the trenches of darkness which prevent us from coming to surface of self-actualization and a healthy sense of self-love. For example, when I began to disconnect myself from the people and ideas who oppressed me that is when new opportunities started to appear in my life.

I will spend a good amount of my time, energy, and wisdom sharing with you all of the tools that will help you resolve many of the most difficult emotional things you may be facing.

The glowing aspect about my approach is the fact that as you grow you will move beyond your emotional difficulties and you will never have to face them again. Surely, you will face different sorts of conflict that may be similar, but ultimately you will then see the world with a greater clarity of purpose where you more prepared to handle new situations.

One particular door that opened up to me regarded my newfound passion for wanting to teach and share my truth. Previously, in my former years of emotional oppression, I never saw myself as someone who was capable of giving expression to the deeper truths that allowed a person to understand the hidden content of their lives, internally and externally, but now as I become more self-aware, I realize the valuable nature of my perceptions and wisdom.

Previously, I was terrified of getting in front of a crowd to speak publically and share my life experience, but now I see my ideas as worthy of being shared. Now as I actively choose to work on myself, I continually put myself in situations where I am forced to grow. However, I now understand one of the fatal things that holds people back in life. Many people are more afraid of the pain they do not know, than the pain they do know. This is one of the fundamental beliefs that holds people back from growing. Personally, I decided to trail into the darkness of the unknown because I was fed up with my life, I knew deep down that I wanted something greater out of life.

Do you want something more out of your life?

If your answer is yes then you have already uncovered the key that unlocks a better future.

During our journey we will encounter many forces that will actively seek to thwart our progress, but the important thing is to remember is that you are making the right decisions, ones that you have weighed, as you make your life, your happiness, and your future a priority.

Adopt the mantra -

I will Healthfully become my own Priority.

The Truth of Self

Who are you? Can you answer this question honestly in a spirit of joyful confidence? Does this question cause you to shutter, or does it bring you into a world of self-created positivity and internal reflection? Unfortunately, at the time I introspectively posed this question to myself, in my past, I found myself drawn into a whirlpool of negative thoughts and feelings of fear because I was afraid of the answer.

Ultimately, looking back, I now understand why this question was such a profound hurdle for me, since the very nature of the question itself was colored by some of my deepest false perceptions.

Discovering who we are is extremely important. It is important in the very fact that it helps us build an immunity against the emotional and intellectual evils of the world, which seek to rob us of the spirit of life. It also bridges a gateway into the powers that lead us into a greater reality of our nature, one developed upon an unshakable foundation of truth. The truism flowing through my words, at this time, is the idea that truth is the structural foundation which allows us to create the life we want, one based in accurate perceptions and carefully calibrated evaluations.

Similar to building a house that can brave the experiences of natural disasters, such as an earthquake, it must be carefully engineered and built upon a sturdy foundation. As we erect our lives on Pillars of Truth, ideas that we ourselves have closely filtered and adopted, those very ideas will launch us into the areas of life we truly want for ourselves, ones that can withstand the winds of change, ideas that continue to stand tall even when the world seems to forcefully push back.

Take a reflective moment to warmly welcome this question into your mind. What kind of life do you want for yourself?

I have made it my loftiest mission in life to untether the knowledge, wisdom, and awareness that helps us to not only answer this high-minded question, but also to share with you the path of empowerment that brings each individual into their own world of self-love, one guided by their own Compass of Truth.

I want my philosophy to open doors instead of closing them. If you find yourself seeking greater meaning, personal value, and that kind of love which awakens you the revealing mysteries within yourself, you may find my words to be the right stepping stones towards your own path of fulfillment as they have been for me.

Through the last several years I have experienced an explosion of emotional and intellectual growth. Coming out of many of my darkest moments, I have realized that there is a valuable goldmine of wisdom, tools, and thought processes that can help us gain clarity and awareness into some of our most painful experiences. I have designed this website to be a platform for acquiring the instruments of mind that help us overcome the some of the most difficult and challenging obstacles we will face in our lives, especially those in the emotional and intellectual sense.

I speak from experience and a place of personal truth that the ideas and lessons you will find on this website are ones that I have worked hard to acquire and personalize.

Through my studies of human behavior, I have found numerous resources and self-help books that advocate that they can make you a stronger person. However, it is important to see that their goal already begins with a false premise. No one can make you a better or stronger person. Each person must works towards taking their own steps of proactivity to make their own life stronger and better.

Surely, there are resources that can guide you towards your destinations in life, as success leaves clues, but ultimately it is our job to decide the coordinates of the locations we want to go. Remember, a GPS (Global Positioning Unit) only works when we have inputted the particular waypoints of where we are headed.

I want to be clear and honest with you. The content on this website will not tell you what you think or do. Instead, it will help you think for yourself. Similarly, it is my deepest belief that by discovering truth within ourselves, it acts a medium which leads towards the reality that is best for us.

I have nothing up my sleeve other than the desire to help you understand the truth within you, the powers of execution that will make your life yours.

The type of self-realization I want you to have is the same type that will allow you to love yourself completely, to attract your own idea of success, and to have the power to create the things you want to see in your life. Together, I will reveal you to the originations of truth which have allowed me to experience my own personal awakening.

One of the greatest feelings in the world is when you know you know you own yourself, where you have become the cause of your own reality, as that is the one of the largest goals of self-transformation. Owning yourself means creating your own ethical structure and value system. It means drawing your own conclusions about the nature of your present day reality and past experiences.

As you are now seeing, I champion Truth as a Godly Force, as it is one force that has the power to command a life-long pursuit of achievement. I want you to see, for yourself, that Truth is the Currency of Power. It is the one force that harnesses the Spirit of our Humanity. Surely, great men can open doors, but it is you who must move yourself, by steps, into the life you idealize and idolize.

Throughout the majority of my life, approximately twenty-one years, seeing as how I am now twenty-six, I now understand the accessible fact that Truth was a crucial element missing from my self-concept. Like any good recipe, we must have every ingredient necessary that contributes to a meal of perfection.

The formation of our identity relies on one tremendously important component that makes nearly every question about ourselves accessible and answerable. Personally, I have found that the answers to our most meaningful questions about ourselves will remain elusive and hidden from plain view until we come into a deeper knowledge about our individuality, as our individuality is the chief ingredient in the greatest concoctions of self.

Ultimately, the ethereal things of life, the meanings which are high-minded, which make us feel at home in our own souls, are those that can only be found through the gates of our own self-knowledge.

My method for helping you discover yourself is simple. I will share with you the earth-shattering epiphanies and realization which helped me understand myself, the very ideas which have allowed me to ascend the Throne of a nearly Perfect Self-Confidence.

When I speak about confidence, I do not mean a confidence gained through the reality of external things, because in truth, those things have very little reality, as they are transient and often illusory.

The biggest value in life is the meaning that we give to the ideas that flow through our minds. For example, buying a new car is something that may feel good initially, but it does not give the caliber of feeling that speaks to the deepest parts of our soul.

The very thing I am aiming at is a Love of Self gained through our very own Inward Reality.

To begin our journey, I want to share with you a story that had a deep and lasting impact on me.

As my friend was passing several elephants, he suddenly stopped, confused by the fact that these huge creatures were being held by only a small rope tied to their back leg. No chains, no cages. It was obvious that the elephants could, at any time, break away from the ropes they were tied to but for some reason, they did not. My friend saw a trainer nearby and asked why these beautiful, magnificent animals just stood there and made no attempt to get away.

"Well," he said, "when they are very young and much smaller we use the same size rope to tie them and, at that age, it's enough to hold them. As they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free." My friend was amazed. These animals could at any time break free from their bonds but because they believed they couldn't, they were stuck right where they were.

This example shows the prison-like effect that a limited belief can have on our view of ourselves.

The stake symbolically represents two important things, 1) It represents the beliefs we have found to be true at one time in our life, 2) it represents a belief which, in actuality, may not be true, but we still believe it to be true.

For example, in the younger years of the elephant's growth, it was an objective fact of truth that the stake, rooted into the ground, was stronger than the elephant, and no amount of physical strength within the elephant, could help it uproot the stake from the ground. However, regarding the second point, as the elephant grew stronger over the years, it could, in actuality, pull the stake out of the ground, but its narrow belief in itself limited its own perception of power.

This example shows how the things we once believed were true, may no longer be true, but it is not until we gain a greater awareness of ourselves that we are able to move beyond the false realities within us.

Building on the elephant example, it is easy to see how the act of conditioning plays a strong role in the development of our self-concept. This is the prime reason why we must constantly take a critical eye of self-evaluation to the beliefs, attitudes, perceptions, habits, traditions, and things in our lives. Nothing is Absolute.

Anyone who tells you things you do not feel are right, that may cause you to panic, that is your ethical structure telling you to reconsider and reexamine the nature of what you are being told.

There are so many forces actively working to color our vision of reality, which is why we must double-time our effort to discover the false things we are being fed. Surely, you would not eat something that looked questionable, which in the same way is why we need to apply that same mindset to the things which try to indoctrinate us, we need to reevaluate the things that reach into our lives as something questionable. The craziest thing about this subject matter is the fact that sometimes people are unaware that they are hurting us, which is why we must take a stand and put an end to their ways, regardless if they are unaware of what they do.

When we grow up in a toxic environment, where we become a target of someone else’s pain, it can leave a footprint in our minds, which has the power of limiting the freedom of our existence.

As Gandhi thoughtfully stated, “I will not let anyone walk through my mind with their dirty feet.”

Only by realizing we are more powerful than the circumstances that contain us are we able to move beyond the boundaries of illusions which chain us to false ideas and false perceptions.

If the elephant mustered the motivation one day to finally try again, or persistently, every day to try and unshackle himself, that could have been the very thing that set him free.

Pause for a moment and reflect, do you find anything in the elephant that you might be holding onto in your life, which you could, if you gave entire self to your goal, that you could set yourself free with enough desire and focus?

The one healing force that allowed my perception to see the world with clearer eyes has been, undisputedly, the Godly Power of Truth.

However, it is essential to see that Truth has two core aspects to it, 1) There is the Action of Truth itself and 2) There is our Perception of the Truth.

One reason I draw your attention to this distinction is the fact that I want seekers to know that it is not the truth which causes our pain, rather it is our perception of the truth that causes our pain.

In this very fact we can see that there is no rational reason to fear Truth-Seeking, as truth is a gateway to our salvation.

Bringing this aspect to light, allows us to deepen a new motivation into the soil of our awareness, one stirred by our desire to know and separate the action from our perception of the action.

As we expand the horizon of our awareness to take in more light, it allows us to adopt the particular mindset that will prove most useful to heal the wounds of the past and protect us against the evils of the future.

If our goal is to purify ourselves of every inch of darkness, it is critical to begin considering the fact that Truth is a direction in life which allows us to come into ourselves authentically.

Think about pursuing truth this way.

Imagine entering a cave engulfed in darkness. As you walk into the cave and turn on your Flash Light, it illuminates the room, as a new awareness enters your field of vision. As the light dispels the darkness, it reveals you the beautiful jewels that were once hidden by the darkness. As a symbol, Truth is our flashlight. It dissolves our emotional darkness.

As we discover our truths, the darkness of our lives will disperse. As Gandhi states, “Once you remove the cobwebs of ignorance, the truth shines clear.”

In this specific instance, I am defining Truth as a source of energy which unites our mind, body, and spirit into a single life force.

For example, when I discovered that I was allergic to eggs and lactose products, that is the moment of transition where I began to discontinue eating any foods that were inflammatory to my body. Over time, my gastrointestinal problems subsided.

To accomplish the task of eliminating everything that prevents us from living a healthy life, we must first do a little soul-searching and experimentation. The soul-searching and experimentation means seeking out the attitudes, ideas, emotions, and experiences, which helps us live a good life, one free of negative anchors.

Similar to how we have allergies to certain foods, we also have allergies to certain people and ideas.

In essence, by listening to my body, my painful gastrointestinal experiences, that was the very trigger which allowed me to see the path that was best for me, which allowed my body to find an inner peace, free of gastrointestinal disturbances.

At the root of this article is the sparkling truth that "Being in harmony with oneself is the aim of seeking Personal Truth, freedom from unnecessary pain, and the liberty and pleasure of being at ease with ourselves, in nearly all situations, always knowing what action to take."

Like some of the great teachings in Eastern Philosophy, especially in Daoism, there is a certain flow to the nature of reality. In other words, things have an inner nature and a direction, by discovering the direction of that flow, and living in harmony with it, we are then able to answer the callings of our soul and lead a life of continued validation, validation that affirms the nature of our personal identity.

Once we faithfully begin to answer the question "Who am I?" truthfully, that unleashes the real journey of personal development.

Once I removed the foods that caused me gastrointestinal problems, that was the point at which I was able to identify and adopt the particular Truths which brought my body into healthier state, one without the side effects of stomach bloating and a non-stop pounding headache.

Once I stopped consuming foods I had an allergic reaction too, my body, mind, and soul thanked me in unique ways. The way in which my mind and body thanked me is how I began to value the realization that I had discovered something objective about the mechanical operations of my physical nature, as I adjusted my lifestyle to live in accordance with that newfound truth.

The way in which my soul thanked me is seen in the fact that I immediately began to increase my self-love, thereby effectively strengthening my relationship with myself.

What simple thing, do you believe, that you can immediately take action on, to begin uprooting the weeds of pain in the garden of your life? Is there one simple thing you can begin doing to make a big difference in the quality of your life?

One of the ways we can feel fulfilled in life is by gaining power over our lives.

It is when we feel we do not have control over our lives that we feel powerless.

What is one action you can take, which give you that immediate sense of control over your life?

The example I give about my body, and its associated allergies, was carefully chosen. The things we learn about ourselves can help us choose the path that has the greatest effect of positivity on our life-long self-esteem.

The importance of finding out the direction of our nature is the very thing that will help us rise above our emotional and intellectual turmoil.

With the commitment to gain an Awareness of Self, without the mirror house of falsehoods, we are then able to ascend higher into the Kingdom of Self-Empowerment.

However, this still brings forth question, why is it important to have a true concept of self?

The reason it is critical to have a True Concept of Self is because it equips us with a toolkit for navigating the seas of an uncharted world. It helps us secure the best footing possible towards our biggest goals.

Ultimately, that is what this website is about, it is about acquiring the tools of mind, the instruments of power, that allow one to gain a greater clarity of purpose, the ability to see understand, and harness the device of truth.

It is impossibly difficult to live the best life possible if we do not have a clear vision of what we want or who we are. One cannot see into the depths of the pond when the waters are muddied.

In my own life, I have found that it is almost impossible to be happy without having a True Concept of Self. My life validates this truth a thousand times over. The more you understand the things in your life, the easier it will be to move beyond the things that rob you of your self-worth.

Truth as a Compass

One of the most powerful forces in the Universe is Truth. It is the force which commands the cosmos and structures our concept of self. Aligning ourselves with this force means welcoming the Ultimate Good. In this section of my philosophy, I examine the majestic effects of giving ourselves to our own truth, and the negative effects that result when we stray from our personal reality. A well-lived life is one that involves seeking Personal Truth, as the Truth is a bridge to understand and explore the deeper part of who we are. Just as a master of physics seeks the hidden laws which governs the universe, in similar contrast, the man of power seeks the hidden laws which governs his universe and launches him into his highest nature.

One central purpose of this philosophy aims to help seekers see the world in their own Version of Truth, as the Truth holds within it, the Ultimate Power of Self-Government. This philosophy, this Way of Life, embraces each person’s unique path in life and champions our desire to live in our own way, while lifting others as we lift ourselves.

Frequently, when I discuss the topic of Truth I am bombarded with questions of paradox and disbelief. Specifically, how can two people, holding two completely different viewpoints on a certain topic both be armed with Truth? Simple, the Truth is relative and individual, as it is rooted in our unique lens of perception. Each person, leading their life, is in the process of creating their own reality, whether they come to recognize and harness this reality decides the direction of their fate in the positive or negative sense.

Regarding the relative nature of truth, what is true for one person is true for that person individually; similarly, what is true for you is true for you. (The section on The Anatomy of Truth discusses the concept of personal truth in much greater depth.) Complications may arise when a person is led astray in understanding their own Truth; this may be because of certain deep-seated falsehoods or the fact that they have not taken a critical eye to their own beliefs. This article specifically penetrates into the effects of having deeply planted false ideas in our minds.

In my earlier years of emotional and intellectual suffering, I was constantly oppressed by my false ideas. False ideas, in this context, are the false beliefs we hold about ourselves, which are untrue. Rising above the darkness of our delusions occurs when we come to understand and demystify the nature of their cause.

One simple way that I find the existence of truth validated lies in the special way that my life has been completely transformed since I discovered certain things about myself which I have found to be continually self-evident. Using Truth as a Compass, I have lifted myself out of many of my biggest delusions and false ideas.

One of my biggest false ideas regarded an oppressive reality I experienced for many years, since I believed myself to be overwhelmingly unintelligent. This delusion haunted my existence. In my every thought, I acted out of an irrational fear, which stunted my growth and courage to pursue my own path in every way. This is mainly because false ideas derail us from our path. From the lens of my distorted sense of self, I believed people of a higher caliber of intelligence would not accept my humanity, because they saw me as someone who was unworthy of their time.

My misguided understanding of myself made me feel like someone who was devoid of genuine human value. Aside from the fact that I now realize this was a sweeping-generality, that is untrue, I now see that I was the one that was actually denying my own humanity.

Looking back on those darker days, with a sense of greater emotional clarity, I now see how fundamentally irrational it was that I was invalidating my self-worth regardless of my level of intelligence. This example goes to show how fear, our irrational ideas about ourselves, can lead us into the eye of some of the most intense tornadoes of turmoil.

The one key element missing from my life was the fact that I had very little self-acceptance. It was only when I came to see, with a searching eye of truth that accepting myself was a bridge to finding my worth. What I really want to impress upon you is the fact that our ideas about ourselves either build or destroy us.

Achieving a higher level of perception, through self-realization, allowed me to discover that my beliefs were unfounded, absurd, and irrational. As my clarity of self-awareness increased over time, my attention became less focused on what other people thought of me, and more focused on what I thought of myself.

The only True Way to make sense of our inward reality is by purifying our own perceptions. It is important to note that outward circumstances mostly reflect inward conditions. By emotionally cleansing our lives, we can work towards uprooting the causes that prevent us from accessing a greater state of clarity. At the heart of what I am saying is the fact that clarity is a vehicle to expression of true inward reality.

In my late teens and early twenties, I encountered certain people who exploited and reinforced my false ideas. I would like to believe it was not their conscious intent to oppress and suppress me, but nevertheless their actions have definitely shaped my sense of self. One thing I learned is that there are certain people who disguise themselves in a cloak of goodness, but in actuality have ulterior motives to take advantage of our spirit of truth. There is an important distinction here, as they do not want our truth, they only want our energy. These types of individuals are emotional vampires who drain the force of our life-spirit.

I now realize these individuals lack truth in their lives, the truth that would allow them to come into the understanding of how much pain they caused me. In a strong sense, their lack of self-realization, their lack of desire to not pursue the light, was one of the primary factors that increased my own darkness. Sometimes we are a victim of circumstances and we do not have a way to defend ourselves against the outside forces of the world, which is why I have developed this website.

One way we can identify emotional vampires is in the way that they rarely, if ever, take responsibility for their actions. Learning to recognize the emotional red flags of these individuals takes time, patience, and constant vigilance.

My Diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, which negatively shaped my concept of my core self.
Building on the idea of Truth as a Compass, in my more impressionable pre-teen years, I found it extremely difficult to focus in class. Over time, my school identified me with attention deficit hyperactive disorder. This condition came to dominate my perception of self. Falling within the categorization of this disorder only worked to suppress my humanity.

On the surface, my family, my school, and the special education services sought to make me better. However, in the assumption of "making me better", it made me worse. I now realize that they were all doing their best to help me, however, we must realize that other’s people desire to help us can sometimes be limited. Ultimately, we must take on the self-actualized task of filtering the external truths which come to define us, since nearly everyone seems to have their own story about who we are.

The idea of being mentally disabled weighed on me and rooted in me the seed of a powerful idea, which made me think that there was something intrinsically wrong with me, as if a company had manufactured a damaged good. This seed grew to the point that I believed nearly everyone was smarter than me. The very fact that I specifically used the word “everyone” shows how irrational my thinking was at the time. When sweeping generalities begin to define who we are that is an immediate flag because we are individuals.

It is important to mention that when society does not have a way to define a person's way of thinking, learning or being, it tends to stamp a limiting label on us. However, I now see that I am not reducible to simple label.

As I developed my capacity to see things through a prism of truth, that is when I began to understand my own identity. I began to realize how the world, and my own ideas about myself, only worked to deepen my subjugation. As Soren Kierkegaard, a famous Existentialist philosopher stated, "What labels me, negates me."

One of the most damaging things about being labeled with ADHD was the fact that it forced me to act in a way that that did not accord with my deeper nature. For example, whenever in class, I never rose my hand or asked questions because my perceptions of myself devalued them, as I believed my ideas to be intrinsically flawed. My false idea about my intelligence, further validated by my ADHD diagnosis, led me to believe that sharing my ideas would prevent other people from learning. Examining this situation now, I now see how my distorted ideas about myself led me far away from myself. As I came into a greater awareness of truth, that my diagnosis was false and misrepresented, that one of the things that allowed me to build a better relationship with myself. Check out the video called The Rings of Self in The School of Wisdom section to understand how the ring of that false idea prevented me from piercing into the heart of a true knowledge of myself.

After realizing some of the false ideas and aberrant forces that were holding me back, a special light began to dawn inside me, it was the beginning of a new life, a life built on an indestructible foundation of truth. It was only by peeling away the layers that buried my core self that I was able to truly come into myself.

Slowly but surely I began voicing my thoughts in my philosophy classes in college, as my new understanding of self began to growing depth of self-awareness.

Only by embracing the inner reality of our truths are we able to ascend to the heights of who we are. Anything that works to suppress our inner voice is a Force of Evil. Unearthing the false ideas that suppressed my soul awakened me to the truth that I had a library of good ideas bursting within me, yet they were invalidated by false ideas, false ideas that told me I was not intelligent enough to have good ideas.

Committing myself to my awakening sense of self became a new way of life, a new way of seeing, which allowed me to find some of my deepest callings. Funny enough, sometimes I spend hours searching for good quotes on google just to lift my spirit, because I now realize that seeking truth is one of things that brings me a great amount of spiritual pleasure.

Having ascended into the heights of my own truth, I now feel good and confident about who I am, as I now enjoy a level of success I could have never imagined for myself.

Here are some of my recent successes, although I state them not for glorification, I state them to show you the power of truth and how seeking personal truth transforms everything about ourselves.

* I have successfully competed in five national bodybuilding building shows.

* I finished a minor in philosophy.

* I am almost finished with my bachelor's degree in Computer Information Technology.

* I run a successful personal training company, where I have facilitated several amazing physique transformations. Check out my sister website, to see some of the physique changes, and get more information about my approach to health and fitness at www.PerfectingTheHuman.com

*I am Certified Nutrition Specialist.

* Over the last several years, I have completed nearly all tasks that I have put my mind too.

* I am developing an increasing wealth of meaningful friendships.

* I consistently feel good about who am, and rarely doubt myself.

* I have had many life-changing epiphanies over the last few years.

I owe a great deal of my triumph to my value system, ethical structure, and the growing fact that I embrace my humanity. My successes represent the power of what occurs when commit ourselves truth-seeking. Most importantly, the Truth helped me to think rationally. Initially, I thought a career in technology was my destiny. However, I am now seeing the monstrous amount of positivity I generate from seeking Truth, and seeing how these Truths are now helping people others find the light within themselves. As it's been said, "We rise by lifting others." It is a wonderful feeling to know how many people I am helping with the success of my experience, approach and attitude towards life. As Ralph Waldo Emerson says, "Happiness is a perfume you pour on others but cannot help getting some on yourself."

Using Truth as a Compass has led me to understand that my calling is not pursuing a long term career in field of Computer Information Technology; it is working with people, ideas, and positivity, which is why I have officially decided to pursue a master’s degree in English Literature with the desire of teaching English Literature at a university. I have learned that English literature is not just a study of the English language, it is a study of thinking, a study of ideas, and how to frame those ideas.

Seeking Truth has allowed me to see that my concept of an enjoyable life comes in the form of teaching and giving back to humanity. If I never took the time to uproot the forces that were derailing my self-concept I would have never been opened to the doors of the things I really wanted for my life.

"He who is not every day conquering some fear has not learned the secret of life."

- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Emotional Vampires Part 1

“The best way to defend ourselves against the world is to develop a thorough knowledge of it.”

– John Locke (18th century British Philosopher)

Note: I suggest watching the video called “Emotional Vampires” in the section on my website called “The School of Wisdom” for an introduction to the following content.

Emotional Vampires are those you drain your life-force. They are life-denying rather than life-affirming creatures. They are often self-centered and they often put their life before everyone else. They are dangerous to our emotional health and intellectual happiness. The nature of these individuals vary in degrees in the fact that some may be extremely malicious while certain others are simply ignorant of what they do and how their actions affect others. However, some are deeply insidious, evil, and villainous which is why we must take immediate action to protect ourselves, so they cannot derail us from our goals and path in life.

One of the most powerful things that helped me create the life I wanted was my discovery of those who sought to rob me of my Spirit of Truth. Once I began to uproot every single force that actively worked to drag me into darkness, that is the moment of transcendence I became a stronger person.

Once we eradicate the barriers of negativity in our life, we then make it easier to move straight towards our biggest aspirations. In the other words, it is difficult to take a route towards a destination if the road is steeped in roadblocks.

This article is a pre-introduction into five major personality types, those that can be classified as Emotional Vampires. Specifically this regards Psychopaths, Sociopaths, Narcissists Oppressive people, and Suppressive people.

Being able to classify our knowledge is an important aspect of human intelligence. When we are able to organize our experiences and categorize them into their proper place it helps us clearly identify how we should react and respond to them.

For example, if you encounter a suppressive person, yet you have a large arsenal of intellectual weaponry and artillery, you will then be able to employ the tools necessary to defend yourself. In effect, attackers will find their techniques futile, as you confidently march towards your goals unaffected by their base motives and psychological advances. Like a Bullet Proof Tank, you will be able to guard yourself on all sides, where a Rotating Turret Gun of Self is able to quickly identify targets who try to penetrate into the spirit of your soul.

As you continue to expand your self-concept, seeking out the truth of who you are, you will eventually create an invincible shield that protects you against each ideological attack of those who try to assault your core sense of self.

The main reason you will be able to disarm or escape the wrath of these individuals is because you will realize, on a deep level, that they are people who know very little about themselves. This fact alone will be one that you can use to your advantage. When a person walks in truth, their armor is much stronger since it is a direct byproduct of their indestructible fortress of self-knowledge.

In other words, as you seek to equip yourself with the tools necessary to protect yourself against the outside world, you will find yourself soaring above the aberrational warfare of others.

This article addressees some crucial aspects of our self-development process, as personal growth becomes nearly impossible when we come face to face with an evil that we do not know how to handle.

Everything in this article is based upon my personal experience with these types of individuals.

Some people you will encounter on your path to success are those who have learned particular methods they believe are best suited to their purposes. In other words, a person’s actions are often the result of the particular instrument of thought they believe will best help them best survive.

For example, I remember a friend of mine who called his Internet Service Provider because his internet stopped working. What was notable about his encounter, with his ISP, was that fact that he had several successful experiences in the past yelling, at the employees on the phone, forcing them to yield to his requests because he wanted his internet fixed promptly.

Over time, it became his deeply cherished belief that yelling, as an instrument of success, became his survival mechanism for resolving issues on the phone. This idea of a survival mechanism is conceptually reflective of one my videos called “The Stable Datum.”

To reiterate, a stable datum personifies a core idea that we believe to be true about the world, which guides our sense of reality and decision making process. Datum is the singular form of data meaning only one. In this context, my friend believed getting angry and uproarious on the phone with the service workers was the best route to ensure his demands were met.

This concrete example shows how certain individuals may acquire certain habits over time, because they believe it is the most effective way to handle certain situations. What he failed to realize was the fact that there was a better way to resolve his conflict, one that was less confrontational, aberrational, and more ethical.

Conversely, I have found that being nice to the internet company, treating them with respect, valuing their hard work, was a much better route towards achieving a positive outcome for me and the employees.

It is an aberrational thought to think that you have to be mean to people to get your way in the world. However, that does not mean at certain times you do not need to be blunt and assertive.

There is a distinct difference between achieving your outcome positively and negatively.

On establishing Healthy Boundaries

Remember, your ethical structure should be the guiding force of the boundaries you establish with people. When you establish healthy emotional and intellectual boundaries with others that allows you to continually meet your own values, while ensuring that certain others treat you with respect.

One of the main things I want to impart to you is the process of finding out who you are so you can erect your own personal structure of values. Once you are certain of what you value, it then becomes an easier task of putting up boundaries. When you become certain someone is derailing you from meeting your values, you know that they are preventing you from the accomplishment of greater progress.

If it seems that I have made the process seem simple that is because it is. The very thing that clouds this process and makes it more difficult is when we are swarmed with negative emotion, because it is that very emotion which clouds our evaluations of others, both of our values and our Personally Decided Boundaries.

Can you think of someone that robs you of your happiness because they frequently put themselves before you?

Let’s explore a relevant example together using that same person.

Let’s say you personally decided, I will not let that person come over to my house and spew their emotional venom at me no matter what the circumstances are. I will not let their negativity rob me of my positivity.

As you established this agreement with yourself, you cemented a certain value, which is an important ingredient to be aware of. However, let’s also say that the reason they are frustrated is because they got into a verbal fight with their partner, yet they are simultaneously trying to embroil you into their conflict.

Have you encountered someone who tried to pull you into their conflict, even when you were certain it was not your own personal battle?

Through this shared example, you can see that it is a matter the clearly concerns them. You do not need to get involved, but it is we who allow ourselves to become involved.

By remembering our values, by pre-establishing them and lyrically reciting them to our consciousness, we can ensure that others do not cross the internal boundaries that we know are critical to our own emotional stability.

However, this is not to say that you cannot not add clarity to someone’s situation by helping them address the issue or letting them vent their frustrations. The important thing is that you keep them at a safe emotional distance while you help them examine the problem with greater intellectual clarity. The best way to help others is to maintain an external bird’s eye perspective of the problem, that way you can resourcefully see the greater context of the issue.

If you get pulled into their emotional hurricane, that may be the very thing which prevents you from accomplishing the objectives you set for yourself that day. This is exactly how negativity consumes the mind.

The reason I am bringing all of this forth is the fact that it is essential to understand how certain negative behaviors can develop over time and how we get pulled into them.

As you are beginning to see, bad behaviors exerted by emotional vampires can sometimes be a reaction and extension of their innermost beliefs about what survival mechanism they believe is most effective to employ in their personal experiences. However, in Truth, you can see that just because someone gets results from a particular behavior that does not mean that they have necessarily discovered the most efficient way of creating positive outcomes for themselves.

Now that I have laid out an entryway into understanding some key elements of aberrant behavior and how it develops, I can now closely examine the different types of negative personalities we may encounter in our social lives. Specifically, the word aberrant, as I use it, refers to the particular individuals who take us off our path, those who have acquired dark ways of dealing with their interpretation of reality.

I have brought to light several words which I believe are extremely important for you to know as you navigate your experiences. Plato, the great philosopher stated, “The beginning of wisdom is the definition of terms.” Specifically, in this quote, he was expressing the truth that language is a vehicle of understanding. By acquiring a dictionary of terms that describe and classify our experiences, we are then in a better position to categorize our experiences into their proper context.

The term Emotional Vampire is a beautiful metaphor that immediately calls to mind a symbolic representation of an individual who takes our energy without giving us any positive energy back. As a side note, an Emotional Vampire is a person who avoids the light of truth and instead seeks a cave of darkness. Sometimes, they will do everything in their power to avoid truth and the possibility of being “found out".

When we have words to describe features in the world it helps us identify our own emotions, which then, in turn, helps us respond to certain situations. In other words, to best respond to our dynamics, we need to know how to classify it, so we can respond appropriately.

The term Emotional Vampire also contains a powerful analogy. We each have an emotional reservoir within us. Our emotional reservoir is like a bank account. It has a limited amount of money, or in our case, a limited amount of positive energy. When someone continues to drain our emotional reservoir without depositing any emotional energy, it can often leave us feeling depleted and lacking emotional richness. Our lack of emotional energy is often the very thing that prevents us from giving our personal attention to the things that truly matter in our lives.

As a side note, Buddha was once asked by a man, “What is one phrase of wisdom that you can give to me that would help me the rest of my lifetime?” Buddha thoughtfully responded, “Reciprocity in all things.”

Reciprocity is the idea of equality and balance in all of our experiences. When there is unstable balance in our emotional content, where we are giving more of our emotional energy than we are receiving, that is the red flag where we must carefully evaluate the nature of our connections with those around us. (See the Video Emotional Red Flags in The School of Wisdom section for more information).

Typically, the best relationships are those where there is a strong feeling of reciprocity.

As a concrete example, think about the concept of bartering in an economic system. A valid exchange for a pound of gold would be the equivalent exchange of money that matches that same value. This is the type of mindset we need to harvest in our exchanges with others, where we carefully monitor and take inventory of our emotional experiences.

Can you think of any examples, in your own life, where you are giving more than you are getting?

I want to be clear, the intention here to not acquire things with the expectation of receiving something in return. Rather, the goal is to ensure we are meeting our Personally Determined Values and the fact that our time and energy is not being taken for granted.

As a caveat, I want to mention that none of my categorizations, I have listed, are set in stone, as they are shifting, fluid, evolving, and may overlap with one another.

These classifications are meant to be eye-opening as they have been to me. Personally, I never saw the need to create an article of this type, but having come into a greater awareness of truth, I realize the importance of turning away from emotional vampires, those who take us away from our most meaningful pursuits.

Having been a pawn of manipulative people, I now see how incredibly valuable it is to have a resource of wisdom like this website.

If a realization comes to you while reading any of this material, give it special attention. Let your newfound knowledge ripen, to connect with the branches of your experience. What I mean specifically is, take a moment to yourself to think about how that new connection relates to your Perception of Self. Remember, a realization is only as good as the roots sink deep into the soul of your self-awareness. In other words, a realization is useless if you cannot immediately begin to apply it.

However, if the pain becomes too burdensome to bear, as you cycle through your emotionally difficult experiences of the past and present, you can apply a psychological technique called “Compartmentalization”, which is the metaphorical idea of opening and closing a mental file in your mind.

Specifically, Compartmentalization is the act of placing a memory or experience into a specific cabinet of your mind that can be accessed at a later time when you are ready. Some experiences take longer to process, as they are the ones that need deeper examination, which is why it is important to slot your memories into certain files.

For example, if a connection comes to you, and you do not have the time, energy, or strength to evaluate it, to inspect the truth of it, simply store it in a part of your brain which is mostly inaccessible, so the emotion of it will not affect you while you aim to accomplish your other priorities.

Personally, I have used this method with great success. I have also found it advantageous to slowly look at a file without flooding my awareness with it all at once. The essential aspect of this method of growth is that you move forward at your own pace.

Self-Examination and Truth-Purification is a detail-oriented process and should be treated as a holy endeavor. It is a path to self-realization and the life-long journey of a better life.

Those who are serious about making their lives better are willing to take responsibility for who they are and how they have affected others and themselves in the process. The person who does not actively work to heal the wounds of the past or the way in which they negatively affect others does not truly want to get better.

For example, I had a friend who had serious stomach issues, where the pain of his gastrointestinal system deeply affected the flow of his daily routines. He was convinced his ritualistic alcohol drinking, every night, was not the problem, which very well may have been the case.

However, the very fact that he was not doing everything in his power to correct his deficiency, such as eliminating all potential causes of his issue, was a message to me that he not truly in the spirit of wanting to get better.

Note: I have not finished writing Emotional Vampires Part 2. However, I do strongly suggest reading the article 20 TACTICS OF HIGHLY MANIPULATIVE PEOPLE in the Recommendations section of my website. It will give you some great insight into the specific techniques that Emotional Vampires regularly use to advance their agenda on others.

The Anatomy Of Truth

This article examines the relationship between truth and language. It explores the concept of Personal Truth, using experiential and scientific validation from great thinkers such as Einstein, Karl Popper, and Aristotle. Ultimately it is based on Einstein's theory of relativity. It is highly accessible does not use overly complicated terminology to explain the concepts.

I have uploaded it, as a microsoft document, due to the length of it, to ensure it is easier on the eyes when reading.
